The conference will focus on three areas critical to the future direction of injury prevention and rehabilitation:
Economic perspectives - Is there a return on investment from increased injury prevention? How do we achieve durable rehabilitation outcomes in a cost-effective way? What has been the ACC approach to compensation funding and can it maintain the lowest levies in the world? Innovations and ideas that also have a pragmatic financial consideration.
Demographic perspectives - Aging populations, changing cultural mixes, changes in family structures. Case studies, examples and research that show how practitioners and policy makers are recognising our changing demographics.
Community perspectives - How do we engage communities to get involved in injury prevention and rehabilitation? Is there really a shared objective? Debate and discussion on the role of a partnership approach to injury management.
