Jon Hainer was a commercial lender for 24 years. He originated loans involving middle market to Fortune 50 firms in a broad variety of industries and transaction types. His time in finance was with three of the world’s top domestic/international banks. His duties included managing a multi-billion dollar portfolio, supervision of business development and commercial lending activities for the western U.S., management of credit analysis and loan administration departments, and point person for interaction with foreign head office personnel.
Jon Hainer developed the Gold Standard loan review which has been extremely well received by the examiners. He is also an independent consultant for several banking law firms and is admitted as an expert witness in finance and forensic accounting by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court and the Superior Court of L. A.
Jon and Marta Stern co-authored the Commercial Loan Review and Audit Manual, published by Sheshunoff Information Services. Jon consults with credit professionals on sophisticated underwriting, risk management, and stress testing processes and policies.
Jon received his MBA from UCLA’s Anderson School after graduating cum laude in economics from Lawrence University.
