Carin Smith, DVM, President of Smith Veterinary Consulting, works to help veterinarians and their teams create successful lives and careers. She is a consultant, speaker, trainer, facilitator, and author who gained experience in both large and small animal practice before devoting her time to consulting.
Dr. Smith is the author of hundreds of articles and many books, including: Team Satisfaction Pays: Organizational Development for Practice Success; Career Choices for Veterinary Technicians: Opportunities for Animal Lovers; Client Satisfaction Pays: Quality Service for Practice Success; Career Choices for Veterinarians: Beyond Private Practice; The Housecall Veterinarianís Manual; FlexVet Guide to Relief & Part-time Veterinarians.
Dr. Smith conducts workshops and gives presentations worldwide in both Spanish and English. She is a Certified Mediator and member of the Association for Conflict Resolution, the American Society of Training and Development, the International Association of Facilitators, and the Society for Human Resource Management. She has served on the Board of Directors of the American Veterinary Medical Law Association and of VetPartners. Dr. Smith works as a facilitator with groups such as the American Animal Hospital Association(AAHA) with strategic planning and with assisting teams that create veterinary medical guidelines.
