Jamie Catto is the creative catalyst, producer and director behind the global philosophy and music project '1 Giant Leap'.

Jamie Catto is one of the most respected artists of our time. Some of the Artists he has collaborated with and Directed in his projects to date include:

In 1990, Jamie Catto became a full-time musician and in 1995 he became the co-founder, singer/song-writer and director of Dance music super-group Faithless (whose greatest hits album was the fastest selling dance album of all time in 2005. The band sold millions of records, including over 6 million copies of their hugely influential hit single "Insomnia"). Jamie Catto also wrote and sang their hit ballad "Don't Leave". As the art director for Faithless' Cheeky label, Jamie Catto has directed critically acclaimed videos for their artists, including Faithless' stunning sign language film for "God Is A DJ." In addition, Jamie has also been a Producer/Composer for globally renowned artists such as Dido (over 30 million CDs sold) and Emiliana Torrini.

In 2000, Jamie Catto became the creative catalyst, producer and director behind the global philosophy and music project '1 Giant Leap'. Along with friend and fellow co-founder Duncan Bridgeman, they shot and recorded in 50 global locations. They released the first '1 Giant Leap' in 2002. (It was nominated for 2 Grammys in 2003, sold over 300 thousand albums, and won numerous awards globally). In 2004, Simon Fuller and 19 Entertainment backed the production of the 2nd 1 Giant Leap Film, TV Series and CD, "What About Me?" which is already being nominated receiving notable recognition. (The making of What About Me? TV series screens on Channel 4 this November 2010.)

As co-founder of Bondage For Freedom (founded in 2008 with Sam Roddick, daughter of Anita Roddick the founder of Body Shop) Jamie Catto aims to make activism the driving art movement of this era. In July 2008, as part of Bondage For Freedom's None Of Us Are Free (while one of us is chained) campaign Jamie traveled to Chowchilla maximum-security prison in California, where he co-ordinated a momentous musical stunt with Deborah Peagler (an innocent women imprisoned for 25yrs) and her gospel choir of inmates, along with the band Arrested Development. Together they recorded the Solomon Burke gospel song "None Of Us Are Free" as a message of solidarity to the Angola 3 in prison in Louisianna. The amazing track and video is soon to be released.
