Description:

The 2016 ANS Winter Meeting and Technology Expo is the premier North American conference for professionals and students engaged in all facets of nuclear science and technology. This unique event includes an embedded High Temperature Reactor Technology (HTR2016) topical meeting, for the convenience and cost savings of attendees. Leading experts from industry, government, academia and the research community will explore the theme "Nuclear Science and Technology: Imperatives for a Sustainable World." The Plenary and Special Sessions will focus on the importance of nuclear energy as a key source of clean, reliable electricity for a growing population. Attendees will choose from nearly 500 technical sessions over four days, where prominent scientists will present the latest research, trends and innovations, as well as their visions for the future. The Technology Expo will offer three days of vendor exhibits and special events. Visitors will enjoy meals and coffee breaks while taking advantage of opportunities to learn about products and services, network and establish new professional relationships. The Caesar's Palace venue provides opportunities to explore Nevada's historical contributions to harnessing the power of nuclear energy. Attendees can enjoy dinner at the National Atomic Testing Museum or take a technical tour of the Nevada National Security Site, previously known as the Nevada Test Site. The High Temperature Reactor Technology (HTR2016) topical meeting is the sole international conference focusing on high-temperature gas-cooled reactors, including heat application technology. Technical sessions will provide forums for sharing peer-reviewed, full-length technical papers covering recent advances in HTR. This is a can't-miss conference for those interested and engaged in the growing world of nuclear science and technology. Register today. Sponsorship and exhibit opportunities are available.
