Description:

With the recent UK government investment into the aerospace industry offering a further 365 million towards technological research and development and creating 2,000 jobs, there is opportunity for significant advances in aerospace technology in the UK. Aerodynamic engineering is at the forefront of these advances, being the primary way of increasing efficiency in flight. Aviation Aerodynamics 2016 is the only engineering-focused event on the latest developments in both internal and external aerodynamics to reduce fuel usage and increase flight efficiency. Take advantage of this unique opportunity to learn from high level engineers in internal aerodynamic initiatives such as boundary-layer ingestion and the latest Sabre (Synergetic Air-Breathing Rocket Engine) project. Attendees will also leave with key engineering solutions regarding external aerodynamics including the latest laminar technology and new design ideas for aircraft structures to take back to your company. Furthermore, attendees will take away key lessons learnt from the space industry in order to strengthen their company's position within the aviation industry. Key Speakers Include: John Bolger, Engineering Associate Fellow Compressor Aerodynamics, Rolls-Royce Jose Longo, Head Aerothermodynamics and Propulsion Analysis Section, European Space Agency Tom Gibson, Aerodynamics Design Engineer, Airbus James Barth, Lead Aerodynamicist, Reaction Engines Cord-Christian Rossow, Director, Institute of Aerodynamics and Flow Technology, German Aerospace Centre (DLR)
