Biography:

Beverly A. Browning is founder and CEO of BBA, Inc. d/b/a BEV BROWNING & A$$OCIATE$. Through contracted grant writing, workshops, internships, and publications, she shares her years of experience in winning public and private funding requests for her clients. Bev has demonstrated expertise in securing foundation, corporate, state, local and federal grants for:

• Municipalities (specializing in fire and life safety needs)
• State agencies and associations
• Community-based organizations
• Performing arts groups (music, dance and drama productions)
• Homeless shelters
• Health and human services organizations
• Chambers of Commerce
• Libraries
• Historical preservation/museums

Bev is the author of a dozen grants-related publications, including audio and video products, including Grant Writing For Dummies™ (2001, Wiley) and Grant Writing For Educators: Practical Strategies for Teachers, Administrators, and Staff (2004, NES).

Since Bev started consulting (1986), she has assisted clients throughout the United States in receiving awards of more than $80,000,000. A native of Michigan, Bev holds a BA in organizational development from Spring Arbor College, a Masters in Public Administration from the University of Michigan, and recently received her honorary doctorate degree in Business Administration. She is currently an Online Campus facilitator for the University of Phoenix and a grant writing course developer for Education To Go.
