Godfrey Harris is an experienced public speaker having taught at two universities, served as the US State Deparment's public briefing officer, given dozens of seminars, and made hundreds of speeches to civic, charitable, religious, and other groups since he began his career in 1960.
He has been observing political events and studying their impact on societies around the world for nearly all of his career.
Prior to founding his public policy consulting firm in 1968, Harris/Ragan Management Group, he was a U.S. Army Intelligence Officer; a U.S. Foreign Service Officer with diplomatic assignments in Washington, Bonn, and London; a Management Analyst in President Lyndon Johnson’s Executive Office; and a Special Assistant to the President of an international banking firm in Geneva. Mr. Harris has also taught political science at UCLA and Rutgers, conducted tourism seminars at Clemson University and the University of Hawaii, and given dozens of seminars for business people on how to generate word of mouth comments.
As a public policy specialist, Mr. Harris has served as a registered foreign agent for the Government of Panama and the Government of St. Kitts-Nevis, as a lobbyist for various interest groups, as the manager of several election campaigns, and as an advisor to private companies dealing with both Federal and local governments. He has written or co-authored more than 45 books on public policy and business themes. He holds degrees from Stanford University and the University of California, Los Angeles.
