|CE Credits:||Five courses at the Winter Institutes provide 20 hours of continuing education credit that is recognized by state licensing boards and major mental health organizations. The sixth course, Marriage and Family Supervision, provides 30 continuing education hours and fulfills the course requirement for the AAMFT Approved Supervisor designation.
Continuing Education at the Winter Institutes
The AAMFT Winter Institutes are approved to provide continuing education for marriage and family therapists and allied professionals by most major mental health organizations, including:
American Psychological Association:
The AAMFT is approved by APA to offer continuing education for psychologists. The AAMFT maintains responsibility for the program.
National Board for Certified Counselors:
The AAMFT is recognized by NBCC to offer continuing education for National Certified Counselors. We adhere to NBCC Continuing Education Guidelines. (NBCC#5209)
National Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors:
The AAMFT is approved by the NAADAC Approved Education provider Program #000160.
The AAMFT is offering mental health professionals the opportunity to learn from experts in the field and to earn 20 or 30 hours of continuing education credit at the 2004 Winter Institutes for Advanced Clinical Training. This extraordinary educational opportunity and mini-vacation will be held February 26-29 in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
The AAMFT Institutes are known for having small, intimate classes designed for the experienced clinician and presented by top-notch trainers in the field. Six outstanding courses are offered. Five provide 20 hours of continuing education credit that is recognized by state licensing boards and major mental health organizations. The sixth course, Marriage and Family Supervision, provides 30 continuing education hours and fulfills the course requirement for the AAMFT Approved Supervisor designation.
All courses except "The Essentials of Marriage and Family Therapy Supervision" will be held:

|Peripherally organized activities:||A valuable component of the Winter Institutes is the opportunity to network with other experienced therapists and course instructors. This occurs, of course, in each small class. To facilitate connections beyond your own courses participants, the AAMFT will host a free informal Welcome Reception for all participants and guests on Wednesday, February 25, 2004 at 7:00pm.
In addition, the AAMFT will host a networking dinner with entertainment on Saturday, February 28, 2004. The cost of this optional event is $35 per person.

|Refund Policy:||Requests for refunds must be made in writing and postmarked by February 6, 2004. All refund requests for the Winter Institutes are subject to a $100 cancellation fee. There will be no refunds after February 6, 2004. In case of circumstances beyond its control, the AAMFT reserves the right to make necessary changes in presenters and content of the Winter Institutes Course without notice.
