There is a revolution taking place concerning health, disease and impairment. One example of this change is something that has always been present in our specialty: extending a holistic insight and seeking quality and humanization in all areas of medical care.
Now is the time for us to assume leadership in care, instruction and research strategies; it is an opportunity to make society conscious of the idea of respect towards diversity. Let us characterize our biennial World Congress as an event of major scientific expression and political strength in the field of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine. In order to achieve this goal, we need to count on the cooperation of all our colleagues, and to get support to ensure an outstanding turnout.
