Biographical Sketch
Dr. Padilla is on faculty at the UCLA School of Dentistry. His involvement in sports dentistry includes the 1984 Los Angeles Summer Olympic Games, World Cup Soccer 1994, 1999, and 2003. He is the Team Dentist for UCLA Athletics, the Los Angeles Galaxy Major League Soccer Team, Los Angeles Avengers of the Arena Football League, and USA National Soccer Teams. He provides mouthguards for amateur and professional fighters including Erik Morales and Shane Mosley. Dr. Padilla has published many articles on mouthguards, trauma treatment and prevention and organized www.sportsdentistry.com. He recently authored a trauma prevention chapter in “A Clinical Guide to Dental Traumatology”, published by Mosby. An international speaker, he has lectured in Australia, Japan, Switzerland, Germany, Canada, Spain, Mexico and numerous USA venues. He maintains a private practice in Los Angeles, California.
