Description:The 2008 Update in Psychiatry will provide an overview of mental health issues affecting women and children. As special population subgroups, these individuals have special needs that differ and require special attention for diagnosis and treatment of mental health disorders. Presentations will cover depression, bipolar, sleep, Asperger’s, mood and anxiety disorders as well as review genetic testing theories, HIV behavioral risk reduction and addictions.
