Tricia Bennett – Author of Polly Brown and Public Speaker, from the UK, and has been living in Orlaando Florida for 3 years now. She lived in fear and with sexual and mental abuse for many years, resulting in 2 suicide attempts ; At 17, she had an amazing experience of God’s love, and was soon after also rescued from the home. At 21 she met her husband John and they have since then spent many years fostering and rescuing teenagers in crisis. They came over from the UK nearly 3 years ago, trusting that it was “meant to be”. She has in recent years written various books including “Polly Brown”, the story of an orphan raised in a castle in England who ends up going on an unusual journey. This book has touched many people already, and word about the book is spreading. Even guys in a local drug rehab have read the book and laughed and cried their way through it and then sent it with a letter to Oprah! 18 months ago she opened “Polly’s Pantry”, a Tearoom in Wildwood, Florida, themed on her book. There she serves wonderful lunches and very special Afternoon Teas. John and Tricia have their own orphanage in India, and their hearts desire is to build and establish many more. During her 2 years in the USA she has done various TV appearances including Channel 45, Harvest TV and Morris Cerullo’s Helpline. Also numerous talks mainly locally near The Villages, including Fairway Christian Center, Grace Tabernacle Youth, “Feed My Sheep” Space Stadium Fundraiser in Vierra, Christ for the Nations in Orlando, Oxford Methodist Church, Tavares United Methodist Church, 1st Baptist Church in Fruitland Park, the annual Altrusa Charity event, Wildwood’s Women’s Club, a cancer research event at Kitchenthyme with Darren McGrady (ex-chef to Queen Elizabeth and Princess Diana), The Villages Literary Festival, British American Club, Mount Dora Country Club, Harbor Hills Country Club, the Leesburg Children Advocacy Center, Village View Community Church, Ocala’s Womens Prison, various schools and various Spanish churches.
