Biography:

Jessica Dutille graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Marketing from Plymouth State College in May of 2003. A little less than a year later she obtained her Masters of Business Administration from Plymouth State University. During the duration of her time in college she was involved with many non-profit organizations. Jessica participated in Habitat for Humanity builds in South Carolina and Georgia and considered herself fortunate to work with underprivileged children at an after-school program in Dallas Texas. In addition she served at a group home for children and the Ronald McDonald’s House, both in Dallas, Texas. Jessica has always been drawn to such organizations and says that she found her heart while serving others. During the summers Jessica worked at Camp Kaleidoscope in Lebanon, NH over the summers. She acted as Assistant Director and Director of Arts and really enjoyed working with the children. Jessica also held an internship at College for Lifelong Learning of Lebanon, NH, where she worked on varies marketing projects.

While Jessica was working on her Master’s Degree she worked at the Pemi Bridge House Homeless Shelter in Plymouth, NH. Of her experience there, she says that she learned a lot about herself, and about life. It was at that point when she truly became impassioned by non-profit work. After obtaining her MBA from Plymouth State University, Jessica accepted a job offer from Holy Trinity School in Laconia, NH. She worked as the junior high English teacher. Her love for working with children was deepened during her time teaching.

In 2005 Jessica started working at the Pemi Youth Center (PYC) of Plymouth, NH, where she still currently works as the Executive Director. The PYC is a non-profit organization serving as a safe and nurturing after school destination for youth. The organization’s mission is to provide a safe and welcoming environment where our youth may gather outside of school and gain a sense of community, belonging, and self-esteem. At PYC youth are supported, encouraged, and inspired to rise above challenges, and to believe in their unique abilities.

In January of 2006 Jessica co-founded The Faith, Hope And Love Foundation (FHL) along with fellow PSU alumni Laura Brusseau. The two founded the non-profit foundation in order to address the overwhelming needs of young people. The foundation’s mission is bring relief to children and youth suffering from poverty, hunger, or homelessness, and to bring them hope, through faith and love, so that they may accomplish all of their dreams. The foundation raises funds for youth in need.

Jessica became an adjunct faculty member of Plymouth State University in fall of 2006. She currently teaches Business Ethics and Society, Career Exploration, and Mentoring Adolescents. Jessica is a member of the President’s Commission on the Status of Women at Plymouth State University, as well as the co-host of Living United in the Lakes Region, a local access channel program. She is a dynamic and enthusiastic youth speaker, who speaks to girls and young women about self-love, body image, gender stereotypes, and living their best lives. Jessica lives in Plymouth, NH with her husband and three children. She looks forward to many years of serving youth and empowering them to live their dreams!
