For many years I volunteered often with Healthcare Ministries. Those clinical and educational teaching experiences changed my life so much. Working with global healthcare with underserved populations gave new perspectives of what is really important in life. In fact, those experiences contributed to my decision to pursue dental assisting, a bachelors of science in healthcare occupations teacher education, a master in education: training and development, and a certificate in Teaching English To Speakers of Other Languages.
I graduated from North Carolina State University in December 2011. In addition to continuing my volunteer work with underserved populations, I am a certified practitioner of the MBTI (R), the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator personality preferences psychometric assessment tool. The Myers-Briggs Assessment is one of the most popular personality assessments tools used in the workforce today. MBTI was developed by Isabel Briggs Myers and her mother, Katharine Briggs, aimed to make Carl Jung's theory of psychological type understandable and useful in people's everyday lives. The MBTI assessment helps people identify their preferences on four dichotomies: extraversion or Introversion (focusing attention and getting energy), Sensing or Intuition (taking in information), Thinking or Feeling (making decisions) and Judging and Perceiving (dealing with the external world). As a MBTI(R) certified practitioner, I am available for individual coaching and workshop trainings to help improve team development, interpersonal skills development coaching, conflict management, stress management, executive and line manager coaching, and caareer transition and planning.
To me, education is the answer to many of our everyday problems. Understanding self and others is a key to improved quality of life. Discover your "ah-ha" moments today!
Some of my additional training and development expertise are in the areas of the following: Myers-Briggs Type Indicator training and coaching. Planning for dental mission trips. Adult learning styles, both theoretical and practiced. Performing needs assessments. Performance consulting. Learning consulting. Designs instructional systems utilizing ADDIE and 4MAT. Design knowledge for face-to-face or e-learning trainings. Develops and revises courses using instructional system design and development methodology. Comprehensive knowledge of teaching and learning techniques and methodologies. Dental healthcare knowledge.
