Jack Hipple is Principal of the consulting firm Innovation-TRIZ, Inc., an innovation consulting company based in Tampa, FL.
Jack has 35 years of experience in the chemical and materials industries, including 26 years with Dow Chemical, where he was responsible for global chemical engineering research as well as for its Discovery Research program. This responsibilithy included new business development across numerous product lines. Following assignments as program manager for Technology Transfer and Foreign Technology Sourcing with the National Center for Manufacturing Sciences he assumed responsibility for major new technology and product development programs at Ansell Edmont and subsequently with Cabot Corporation. Prior to forming Innovation-TRIZ, Jack worked with Ideation International, a developer of advanced TRIZ methodologies and software, and Idea Connections, an innovation consulting company based in Rochester, NY. He is one of the few people in the world trained in all of the major innovation tools including TRIZ, Edward Debono’s Six Hats and Lateral Thinking, Michael Kirton’s KAI methodologies and assessment tools, and Myers Briggs social style assessment.
He has also developed a unique approach to organizational innovation assessment which has been publilshed in Research Technology Management and presented at major conferences.
Jack has a degree in Chemical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA.
