JIM TABOR GTC’s principal and owner is one of New England’s most experienced and successful marketing communications professionals. Jim is a cum laude graduate of the University of Vemront and holds an MFA from The Johns Hopkins University. He has served as an editor and journalist for national media in New York City and Washington, D.C., a senior marketing executive in corporations in Vermont and Colorado, and a senior executive in an advertising agency.In 1998, he created GTC, Inc. with partner Bob Gillen, one of America's top public relations practitioners.
Jim is also an award-winning writer whose work has appeared in TIME, US News & World Report, Barron’s, Forbes FYI, Smithsonian, Reader’s Digest, Outside, and many other top national publications. He co-authored the best-selling trade book, The New Victory Garden (Little, Brown)
Jim starred in the national PBS Series, “The Great Outdoors,” produced by Boston’s WGBH TV and underwritten by Gore-Tex and Timberland.
Jim’s experience “on both sides of the desk”—as both a journalist and a communications professional—gives him a unique advantage for public relations campaigns as well as other marketing communications work.
